Like old wine in a new bottle, ABCD 2 comes as a sensational hip hop movie which is loaded with drama, emotions and a lot of thrilling performances.
Director Remo D'souza picked few faces from old movie and added some fresh ones to reintroduce ABCD theme with added masala and glamour.
Call it brilliance for a habit Remo has pulled it in style.
The actors also did a brilliant job in terms of dance and were fully justified with their performances.
Specially Varun Dhawan, the new building heart-throb, has put a lot of efforts to make his mussels pop out and become the lifeline of this movie. From cutting edge body to hip hop style dancer, he nails it all.
Varun Dhawan plays the character of Suresh, who is waiter by profession and a dancer by heart. After being framed as cheater in a local competition he dreams of reviving the whole tornished image on an international platform. What comes next is a thrilling journey of him finding a mentor and a whole new team with support of his girlfriend Vinnie.
Shraddha Kapoor is Vinnie and has tried really hard to grip the flow of the film. From being a stunner to eye grabber its the 'aww' factor which takes over and frames her as the cutest of all.
When things get repetitive they loses their grace, something similar happened with Prabhudeva in this. He is the mentor and his character was almost like a carbon copy of the last edition, resulting in a less appreciated high quality performance he gave, including a jaw dropping dance.
In this movie he once again grabs hold the chair of a guru (teacher) with no money in his pocket, but with an emotional bind for dance. With ideas in mind and jazbaa in heart, he is the problem solver, then a problem and at last the proud mentor.
Riding on the very basic formula - 'dance', the film touches edges of emotions and love as it unveils the real facets of life.
Final verdict: An emotional tangle of dance that keeps you on the edge of your seats. A must watch for every dance lover!
