New Delhi:

For all the car lovers, four brands are set to launch their cars in next month adding to customers delight. Four brands will add value to their segments- premium, sports, adventure and luxury.

On one hand where Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga and Mahindra’s Thar are set to undergo facelift on August 20 and July 22 respectively; Hyundai’s Creta is set to be debut in India next week; meanwhile Italian luxury sports carmaker Maserati announced its re-entry into the Indian market with plans to launch models priced up to Rs 2.2 crore with three new dealerships in the country.

Let us take a look at the four brands, their cars and features and specifications.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: The car will be revealed on August 20 at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show and will come with a host of changes including front grille and some additions of chrome. Interiors of the car and additional features like an engine Start/Stop button to phone controls on the steering wheels could make their way into the car. Auto Gear Shift is another expected change. The company may also make some minor tweaks to improve fuel efficiency.

Hyundai Creta: The company is set to launch upcoming mass market sports utility vehicle Creta in India next week. It is a five-seater model and will compete with the likes of Mahindra & Mahindra, Renault, Nissan, Ford and Tata Motors in the volume segment of SUVs. It has bold and stylish looks.

Mahindra Thar: The company may change the exterior of the car by including new front bumper, larger side-steps, extended fender and a new soft top. It may also get a new instrument cluster and dual-tone shade dashboard with round and silver finished HVAC vents. Other changes inside are a new steering wheel, revised handbrake lever and two cup holders near the gearbox. No changes in engines are expected.

Besides the Thar facelift, Mahindra & Mahindra will also launch a couple of all new sub-compact SUVs and facelifted models of its other cars like Scorpio.

Italian luxury sports carmaker Maserati: The company announced its re-entry into the Indian market with plans to launch models priced up to Rs 2.2 crore with three new dealerships in the country.

The company also has plans to launch a sports utility vehicle globally next year, including India.

Maserati had entered the country in 2011, but later stopped selling cars in the market owing to trouble with its dealer partner. Now, it plans to open three new outlets by September-end this year.

“Our re-entry into the Indian market is a commitment to our customers as there is a definite demand for exclusive luxury products, including cars, in the market,” the newly appointed Maserati Head of Operations for India, Bojan Jankulovski told reporters here.

By entering India and other new markets around the world, the company is able to grow by expansion, he added.

The company plans to sell four models—Quattroporte, Ghibli, Gran Turismo and GranCabrio, all priced between Rs 1.14 crore to Rs 2.2 crore.

Maserati, which has been part of the Fiat Group since 2005, will now operate out of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India.

As part of its India plans, the Italian firm is looking to open three dealerships in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore for which it has appointed AMP Supercars, Bagga Luxury Motorcars and Jubilant Autoworks, respectively.
