Lucknow:
Uttar Pradesh government has announced that it will rename Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical university.
“Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced to rename UPTU as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University. It has been also decided to construct a grand memorial for Kalam in the new campus of the university,” an official spokesman said here.
Yadav said that Kalam had deep association with the state.
