Los Angeles:

Actress Hilary Duff wants mothers to stop judging each other on how they deal with motherhood.

Duff, 27, who has a three-year-old son Luca, with ex husband Mike Comrie, said even though motherhood is beautiful, judging makes the process “isolating,” reported ET Online.

“Even before you have your baby, you can start feeling the judgement. And, you know, becoming a mother and that whole process is so special and so magical really, but it’s also very isolating,” she said.

The “A Cinderella Story” actress, along with her sister, Haylie, is combating mom-on-mom bullying through her Sisterhood of Motherhood campaign.

“The biggest things that stand out for me was choosing to have an epidural (used as a method of pain relief for labour).  I felt very judged by some people. Also, once I had breastfed for a certain amount of time and I was starting to work and starting to supplement with formula, I felt judged then.”

The former Disney star said women need to boost each other and stop bullying.

“You put so much pressure on yourself, and it’s really kind of a lonely place to be. So, I think, women and families need to boost each other up instead of, you know, bullying one another,” she said.
