New Delhi:

It is been a roller coaster ride for Narendra Modi and NDA in last one and half years. The NDA sweeped the general polls with huge margin and form the government in Centre. After few months the BJP formed government in Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Haryana. The saffron party is also a part of government in Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh.

But the juggernaut was halted in Delhi polls earlier this year as they lost to AAP badly. The BJP was reduced to just three MLAs in a 70 seated Delhi Assembly. With Election Commission announcing the dates for the much-awaited Bihar polls, all the major parties are gearing up the tussle.

The fight will be between NDA and foe turned friend JD-U and RJD.

The NDA will be led-by BJP consists of Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s  HAM and  Uprendra Kushwaha’s RLSP. BJP being the main player, all the other parties can play supporting role. But still nothing is clear within the party as the main issue seat sharing has not been finalized.

Two days ago, a cold war was seen with in the NDA as Ram Vilas Paswan and Jitan Ram Manji were pinning missile on each other. Both belong to backward class and claimed to be their leader in the state. With nothing finalized NDA in a spot of bother.

According to sources, the BJP will contest on 180 seats, LJP and RLSP on 30 each seats and Ham on 12-15 in a 243 Assembly. With having 12 sitting MLAs HAM has remanded more seats. From last three days Manjhi and Paswan have been meeting top BJP brass to clear the fog over the seat sharing issue.

As the grand alliance has finalized its set sharing and CM candidature, the NDA should make its stand very clear. The delay can take away the advantage from the NDA which it has in the polls. The NDA needs to keep its alliance intact to defeat the grand alliance.

It seems it will be a contest between caste politics, nepotism and development in Bihar. It’s been 69 years of Independence and Bihar is one of the poor states in India. All the parties have been promising a lot but delivering a little.   The time will only say……………what store for Bihar in future.
