Despite getting negative reviews, Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bliing has made a spectacular start at the box office with opening day collections amounting to a whopping Rs 20.67 crores.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures on Saturday.

The movie turned out to be a record breaker for Akshay as it surpassed Gabbar Is Back (Rs 13.05 crores), Baby (Rs 9.3 crores) and Brothers ( Rs 15.20 crores ) by a fair margin, to emerge as his biggest opener.
The romantic-comedy also leaves behind big 2015 performers, namely Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Prabhu Deva’s ABCD 2. Kapil Sharma with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon too lags far behind this one.
Twinkle Khanna also congratulated Akshay in her own way:
