Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Thursday criticised NDA government, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not act against the corrupts while in the UPA rule, they dealt strictly with individuals facing corruption allegations.

The former prime minister also rubbished Modi’s charges of not paying heed to Narmada issue. He said,"Modiji says he took up Narmada issue with me but I don't remember him talking to me about this issue."

Singh said he had never refused meeting the chief ministers as it was his responsibility meeting all the chief ministers.

While reacting on foreign policies, Singh said: “Our national security has been hurt by the inconsistent foreign policies of this Government, some steps taken by Modi Govt were not in the best interest of the country.”
