The BJP and Congress are set to be reignite their old political rivalry and get locked in a pitched battle as the stage is set for the first phase of polling on December 9.

BJP who has been holding fort in the state for the last 22 years is leaving no stone unturned to retain their bastion. However if one has to go by the recent opinion polls, Congress is set to recover lost ground courtesy the support extended by Patidar leader Hardik Patel.

Party Vice President Rahul Gandhi is making all out efforts to turn the tide by paying heed on the grass root issues like farmers' dismal condition and high unemployment rate in the state.

Three days ahead of the elections, News Nation carried out country’s biggest ground zero poll survey and tried to know what is in the hearts of the voters of Gujarat.

BJP: 131-141: (136)
CONG:  37-47: (42)
OTHERS: 2-6: (4)

# VOTE SHARE:

 BJP:  49  PER CENT

CONG: 37 PER CENT

OTHERS : 14 PER CENT
