Harley-Davidson India has introduced four new version of bikes in the 2018 lineup of its softail series mototcycles. These includes Street Bob, Fat Bob, Fat Boy and Heritage Classic.
Prices of newly launched motorcycles ranges from Rs. 11.99 lakh to Rs. 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Speaking on the launch, MD of Harley-Davidson India and China, Peter Mackenzie said, "Our new offerings strongly demonstrate Harley-Davidson's focus on reinventing products for motorcycle enthusiasts and aspiring riders’’.
‘’The 2018 Softail custom motorcycles have been inspired by Harley-Davidson's history, authenticity and styling DNA through a modern lens. The response to the first look has been very positive and we are confident that the motorcycles will further enhance the sport of leisure motorcycling in India’’, he added.
All the four new models have undergone both cosmetic and mechanical updates from their current versions.
The new Street Bob gets lighter by 7 kg as compared to the previous version. The Black spoke wheels, chopped fenders and the riser mount digital console are some of its main features.
The new Fat Bob looses 15 kgs and gets a complete makeover. 43mm inverted front forks, dual front disc brakes are its key features.
The Fat Boy looses 16 kgs as compared to the previous one. It comes with classic headlight nacelle and 160mm front tire which is the widest in the whole range of Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The new Heritage Classic comes with detachable windscreen, lockable and water resistant saddle bags taller suspension and cruise control and above that shredded 17 kgs than the previous version.
The prices of four newly launched Harley-Davidson motorcycles are as follows:
Street Bob – Rs. 11.99 lakh.
Fat Boy – Rs. 13.99 lakh.
Fat Bob – Rs. 17.49 lakh.
Heritage Classic - 18.99 lakh.
