New Delhi:
Royal Enfield is known to produce classical and heavyweight motorcycles and now the company has launched its first modern twin-cylinder engine in Leicestershire, England.
The news 650cc is designed to offer the right balance along with power, torque and usability so as to ensure a smooth and unintimidating riding experience, said the company in a statement.
The new four-stroke engine has single overhead cam, air-cooled, 648cc parallel twin cylinder developed by Royal Enfield's UK Technology Centre and Chennai teams. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with fuel injection in tow.
The new engine gives higher power and torque at lower RPMs and has an output capability of 47bhp and 52Nm torque.
