Air India offers 50 percent discount for students, Army, senior citizen

New Delhi :  

Selective categories of state-run airline, Air India, flyers can now avail upto 50 percent discount. The Air India took to Twitter to announce the special officer.

According to the tweet by the airliner the 50 percent offer is only for students, army personnel and senior citizens.

However, the airline had kept a clause stating that the officer will be applicable subjected to ‘availability of seats.’

Air India in the tweet has not mentioned the last day of the scheme. According to the scheme run by the state-run airline the offer can be availed only on basic fare on its domestic sectors in economy class.

Ones who want to avail the offer will have to buy the ticket at least seven days prior to the date of travel.

The Air India along with the 50 percent discount its customers can carry 25 Kgs of free check-in baggage.

Air India said, the 50 percent discount is applicable for family members of an active military personnel of Indian Armed Forces.

Students who are enrolled for a full time course for minimum time period of a year at a recognised Central or state educational boards in India and aging between 12 to 26 years can avail the offer.
