In the current fiscal year, sanitaryware major Jaquar has decided to expand manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi industrial area in Rajasthan to increase the company's bath fitting capacity. There are four manufacturing units of Jaquar in India with three being in Bhiwadi.
Promoter and director of Jaquar Group, Rajesh Mehra said, "We are expanding our one unit in Bhiwadi with an investment of Rs 150 crore in the present fiscal year which will enhance our manufacturing capacities to one lakh bath fitting from present 70-75,000 units per day."
"Our manufacturing facilities are equipped with modern machinery, automated processes and are eco-friendly. The expansion will also generate employment opportunities," he further added. This move will help the group achieve a turnover of Rs 3,500 crore, he said.
The group is also coming up with an orientation centre in Jaipur wherein range of products will be displayed for potential buyers and professionals, Mehra said.
With 22 orientation centres in the country and one in Singapore, the Jaquar group provides expert advice, installation assistance, free estimation and live demos. Bathroom concepts and products are also showcased in these centres.
The company has also displayed its products in the ongoing exhibition of ARCASIA (Architects Regional Council Asia) Forum here.
