New Delhi:
Google maps is updated with an India-specific feature this week. It becomes fourth Google-based platform to have an update, following Translate, Gboard and Chrome.
Google Maps Android app in India has been redesigned and streamlined, the Indian division of the Mountain View-based tech giant announced on Friday.
The Android app features a new home screen that loads faster and features new shortcuts for faster navigation, said a report.
According to the report, this new home screen is designed for people in India. ‘We’re hoping that this helps to provide a much more intuitive and faster experience for users in India’.
The bottom row of buttons allows users to switch between satellite, traffic, and transport lines layers, with there also being a shortcut to save an offline area.
