Messaging app Whatsapp has launched live location sharing feature for its users. Through this new technique, users can share their present location with their contacts in real-time. Whatsapp had one-time share feature but this new feature will allow users to share location at real-time.
With this new feature, the friends in the contact list will be able to track current location of even when the app is not actively used on the smartphone.
To use live location sharing feature, a user will be required to create a group on Whatsapp. Then, the user will have to activate share live location feature in location.
Timer can also be installed in live location sharing feature. It will allow the users to share location after set time of his/her choice. Live location can be shared with many people.
According to Whatsapp, the feature will be equipped with end-to-end facility which means that the users will be able to share location with only those people whom they want to share with.
