A horrific incident of rape and murder has come to light from Kosam village of Bidar district of Karnataka where a 22-year-old man raped and murdered a 19-year-old girl on Sunday after she repeatedly spurned his overtures.
Shamsuddin lured Puja, a second-year BA student to a forest in Kosam village, sexually assaulted and murdered her by slitting her throat.
After committing the crime, Shamsuddin informed Puja’s family about it and later went to a police station and confessed his crime.
Police have arrested Shamsuddin and recovered Puja’s body.
Shamsuddin and Puja were neighbours in Kosam and Shamsuddin was wooing her for two years.
