New Delhi:

A massive blaze broke out at a four-storeyed building at Mansarovar Garden in West Delhi on Monday, leading to the collapse of the whole complex.

According to a fire service official, thirty fire tenders were rushed to the spot after Delhi Fire Services received a call about the incident around 3:45 PM.

Goods in the shops of the building were gutted but no one was reported to be injured in the fire, he said.

During the dousing of the fire, the whole building, weakened by the heat, collapsed, the official said.

It took the firefighters over two hours to extinguish the fire and firefighting operations continued till late night.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the police but the possibility of an electric short-circuit could not be ruled out.

Earlier,  a massive fire broke out at east Delhi’s Ghazipur landfill site on October 14, which was doused after over seven hours of fire-fighting operations.
