New Delhi:
In a tragic incident, a minor girl was allegedly raped in Delhi's Nangloi area. The accused has been arrested by the police who have also registered a case against him.
A call regarding the same was received at the Nangloi Police Station on Sunday night where the victim alleged that she was raped four days before. The victim resides in the same premises as the accused.
A case has been registered under Sections 376, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.

Delhi and its surrounding areas especially, Gurugram, Noida and Greater Noida have witnessed various cases of molestation and rape in recent times.

On June 20, a woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car in Gurugram and later thrown out of the vehicle near Greater Noida by the accused.
Some cases were also reported from Greater Noida a few days ago. On June 24, a 19-year-old girl staying along in a flat in AVJ society at Greater Noida had alleged that a security guard of the same society tried to molest and rape her. The man was later arrested by UP police.

On the same day, five other people were arrested from Greater Noida for allegedly kidnapping and raping a sex worker in a moving car.
