Mumbai:

In a minor reshuffle, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday transferred three IAS officers and appointed one of them as the new Resident Commissioner of the state in New Delhi.

Sham Lal Goyal, a 1985-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Resident Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Maharashtra Sadan, New Delhi, in place of Abha Shukla, an official said.

Currently, Goyal is Additional Chief Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation Department of the state government and based in Mumbai, he said.

Shukla, a 1993-batch bureaucrat, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Mumbai.

A R Kale, a 2005-batch IAS officer, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Mantralaya (state secretariat).
