Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declares 89% students qualified in HSSC (class XII) exam

According to an official arround 89% students have been declared qualified in the HSSC (class XII) exam recently taken place under the conduction of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE).

The GBSHSE on Thursday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) exam it had conducted recently.

GBSHSE chairman J R Rebello said, "Total 88.77 percent students cleared the examination. Out of the 16,521 students who appeared, 14,666 have cleared the exam."

He said the results have shown that girls have outshone the boys in the HSSC exam. As per the GBSHSE, the stream-wise passing percentage is: 88.12 per cent for science, 87.53 per cent (arts), 96.70per cent (commerce) and 88.15 per cent (vocational) Rebello said total 23 schools reported 95 per cent andabove result.

The board would be holding supplementary examinationsfor those who could not clear this time on June 8.
