New Delhi:
Gujarat University on Saturday declared the provisional merit list for the admissions to science courses.
The final merit list will be declared on Wednesday. Around 19,704 applications were received for 9,000 seats of pure science courses across 25 institutes in Gujarat University.
Around 900 applicants were not included in the merit list because they did not get their documents verified after submitting their applications.
Most applicants have scored well and in fact, nearly 5,000 students have scored above 70per cent.
As soon as the admission process for medical and engineering will begin, these admissions will cancel out, said sources.
Of the 25 institutes offering courses in pure sciences at Gujarat University, around seven are grant-in-aid colleges while three are government-run colleges and 15 are self-financed colleges.
