After a journey of three months, Bigg Boss 11 finally got its winner in Shilpa Shinde. The popular actress beat Hina Khan to win the current season of Bigg Boss.
The grand finale of BB11 was nothing short of a blockbuster affair. The makers added twist in tale by introducing live voting for the top two finalists- Hina and Shilpa.
Fans showered Shilpa with tremendous love throughout the season and they didn’t disappoint on Sunday. Interestingly, ‘Shilpa Shinde for the win’ trended on Twitter with over three million tweets few hours before the grand finale.

The ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’ actress faced a lot of ups and downs during her stint in the show. But it was her motherly nature that made her a fan favourite.

1- Shilpa made her small screen debut in the year 1999 but became popular after portraying the negative role of Manju in Bhabhi.
2- Not many know that Shilpa’s father was a judge in High Court. Vikas Gupta revealed the same in one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 11.
3- Shilpa Shinde is a Marathi Mulgi who was born on August 28, 1977. Despite being a Maharashtrian, she perfectly nailed the accent of a Kanpur based woman in ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’.
4- Shilpa is successfully working in the television industry for the past 18 years. She has been part of shows like Hatim, Sanjeevani, Rabba Ishq Na Hove, Betiyaan Apni Yaa Paraaya Dhanr and many others.
5-Shilpa won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Comic Role for ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ in 2015.
6-Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain is not Shilpa’s first stint with comedy. She successfully played the role of Koyal in Chidiyaghar and Mary in Lapataganj.
7-Shilpa was never fond of tattoos but she got one on her shoulder in memory of her father. This was revealed by none other than Ashutosh Shinde on Bigg Boss 11.
