The changing release dates of Aamir Khan's "Secret Superstar" once again has grabbed the eyeballs. Earlier the movie was slated to release on August 4 with the simultaneous release of Sanjay Dutt's comeback movie "Bhoomi". It was also scheduled to release prior to the release of Shah Rukh-Anushka starrer, Imtiaz Ali's next and Akshay Kumar's "Toilet Ek Prem Katha".
Now the reports have confirmed that movie shall release alongside Rajnikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer "2.0". "Golmaal Again" is also supposed to hit the screens on the same date.
Bollywood Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh have confirmed the news on his Twitter account. The showcasing of "Secret Superstar" in its second weekend is equally important and if the movie would’ve released on its original date [4 August 2017], the showcasing of the film would be marginalised since a majority of screens would be occupied by the two other releases, starring SRK and Akshay.

Traditionally, it has been witnessed that the festive period of Diwali has room for two or more releases. Also, sources close to the development state, “Aamir himself called Rajini Sir and discussed his concerns of "Secret Superstar" shifting from August to Diwali. Both the actors share a warm bond and it was with Rajini Sir’s blessings that Aamir has announced a Diwali release for his film.
The movie is all set to hit the theaters along with "2.0" and "Golmaal Again", so it’s a BIG Diwali weekend on the cards.
Under the banner of Aamir Khan's production and directed by Advait Chandan, "Secret Superstar" also stars "Dangal" fame Zaira Wasim in the lead. The film also has a cameo of Aamir Khan himself.
