Abhishek Bachchan's personal life has been the talk of the town ever since he has been married to former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai. While the couple has been happily married for over a decade, Abhishek's past relationship with Karisma Kapoor often take up the headlines time and again.
This time it caught the limelight after Aishwarya and Karisma reportedly ignored each other smartly at an award fuction..
It is a known fact that Abhishek's engagement with Karisma was announced in 2002 in Amitabh Bachchan's 60th birthday celebration. Soon the reports of their wedding started doing the rounds.
However, much to everyone's surprised, the engagement was soon called off after which Karisma got married to businessman Sunjay Kapur in 2003.
While the reason behind Abhishek-Karisma's break up was mystery, several speculations were made about the reason that made the popular celebrity couple part ways.
Amidst all the speculations, a report published in Catch News states that it was Karisma's mother Babita behind calling off Lolo's engagement with AB.
According to the media reports, the Bachchan wanted Karisma to quit acting post her wedding with Abhishek. This reportedly, didn't go down well with Babita making her the main reason behing Lolo-AB's split.
Notably, News Nation doesn't authenticate the credibility of the reports.
Interestingly, Bachchan bahu Aishwarya has been actively working in showbiz post wedding. In fact, She was last in a rather bold role in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' which did got her several appreciation. The Bachchan couple also have a daughter Aaradhya.
On the other hand, Karisma recently got officially divorced from sunjay Kapur, with whom she has two kids daughter Samiera and son Kiaan Raj. The lady is currently said to be dating businessman Sandepe Toshniwal, however, the couple is keeping the relationship under the wraps.
