Revealed: This is real reason behind Abhishek Bachchan-Karisma Kapoor's break up

New Delhi:

Abhishek Bachchan is often making the headlines for his personal life than for the professional front. The Bollywood actor is happily married to beauty queen Aishwarya Rai and the couple is often seen giving major couple goals.

However, Aishwarya isn't the first lady in AB's life. Junior Bachchan was earlier engaged to actress Karisma Kapoor. In fact, the couple had even given a green signal to the reports of they getting married as well.

But much to everyone's surprise, Abhishek-Karisma's wedding was called off after which the two went different ways. While their break-up came as a grave shock for everyone, the reason behind their split has always been a mystery.

However, according to the recent report, the reason behind Abhishek-Karisma's break has been revealed.

As per a report published in  Filmibeat, Abhishek parted ways with Karisma as she wanted him to live separately from his parents.

“Abhishek is way too close to his parents to even think about moving out. When he was engaged to Karisma Kapoor in 2002, the relationship came apart mainly because she wanted him to move out of his parents’ home and live separately after marriage,” a source was quoted as saying.

Post his break up with Karisma, Abhishek went on to marry Aishwarya in 2007 and it is reported that it was Rai's affinity to her parents that drew junior Bachchan towards her.

Interestingly, there have been reports, Abhishek and Aishwarya have recently bought a lavish apartment and was said to shift from their family home Jalsa.

But the reports were quashed later, after a source close to Bachchan family stated that Abhishek will not leave his family under any circumstances.

"She understands what it means to be close emotionally and physically to your parents, and she never demanded a home away from Jalsa (the Bachchans’ home for the last 20 years). He may buy any number of properties. But his heart remains in his family home", said the source.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan is said to have been roped in for Anurag Kashyap's upcoming directorial Manmarziyaan along with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The movie is set to hit the floors in February this year.
