Lalita’s marriage was fixed in 2012 with a different man. But unfortunately at that time her cousins attacked her with acid due to some personal enmity. After the attack, she had to go through some 17 surgeries at the Bombay Hospital and Masina Hospital in Mumbai.

Around two months ago, when Lalita was undergoing treatment, she received a call from Rahul Kumar and the two fell in love with each other and decided to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

According to Saahas Foundation, many celebrities from film industry offered help to Lalita an Rahul in their story book wedding. Saahas is an NGO that is helping Lalita with her rehabilitation.

There are reports that Vivek Oberoi has offered to gift her an apartment in Thane.

A source says, “Vivek had met Lalita at a function in March where he got to know about her problems and the fact that she was homeless. The actor had promised her that he will gift her a house in his affordable housing project, Karrm.” But that’s not all.

Vivek Oberoi had recently introduced a project called Karmn. Under the project people can avail a decent house in the city at affordable prices. The actor believes in doing whatever good he can for the society.
