Akshay Kumar's 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' has come as a big respite for the ailing film industry as the movie is doing a commendable business at the box office. The movie, which got a good opening of Rs 11.71 crore of Rs 13.10 cr on its opening day, has witnessed a fantastic growth on its second day of release and raked in a collection of Rs 17.10 cr.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office collections of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' and wrote, "#ToiletEkPremKatha Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 17.10 cr. Total: ₹ 30.20 cr. India biz... ₹ 48 cr [+/-] weekend on the cards... SUPERB... #TEPK".
In a series of tweets, Taran also stated that it is the strong word of mouth that is making the movie rake in massive numbers at the box office.
Interestingly, the excellent collections of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' has finally come as a breath of fresh air and has ended the ongoing dryspell of the India box office after the stupendous earnings of SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' early this year.

But looks, this Akshay-starrer will finally become the saviour in the number game.
If the media reports are to be believed, 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is expected to witness good growth in the upcoming long weekend with Independence Day and Janmashtami being around the corner
Talking about the movie, this Shree Narayan Singh directorial deals with the issue of open defaction in India and is said to be inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan.
