Amitabh Bachchan's 'Sarkar 3' gets postponed, to release in April

New Delhi:

The release of megastar Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming movie 'Sarkar 3' has been postponed to April now.

The movie will now release on April 7 which happens to be Ram Gopal Varma's birthday, who is the director of the movie.

'Sarkar 3' happens to be the third instalment of its Indian political crime thriller franchise. The first instalment came in 2005 which was titled as 'Sarkar', which was followed by 'Sarkar Raj' in 2008. 

Earlier, it was touted to release on March 17.

The announcement was made by Eros on micro-blogging site twitter.

The tweet stated, "Get ready to hear Govinda chants once again! Our epic film #Sarkar3 is all set to release on 7 April 2017."

RGV too confirmed the news with a tweet saying, "Sarkar 3 to release on April 7th..On My Birthday"

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan has also crooned for the movie and will be seen singing 'Ganesh aarti' in the movie.

While Bachchan will be seen reprising his role of Subhash Nagre in 'Sarkar 3', the movie will also star Rohini Hattangadi, Yami Gautam,  Jackie Shroff, Amit Sadh, Manoj Bajpayee, Ronit Roy and Bharat Dabholkar.
