Ankita Lokhande, who has been a known face in Indian television industry, has managed to be in headlines for a while but because of her personal life. The lady had parted ways with her longtime boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput in 2016.
While their split came as a major shock for everyone was the couple was said to get married anytime soon.
There were reports that it was Sushant's proximity with co-star Kriti Sanon that led him part ways with Ankita, but the couple chose to maintain a stoic stance over their break -up.
Now two year after her split with SSR, while Ankita is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, her past continues to be a talk of the town.
During one of her recent interview to Mumbai Mirror, Ankita was quizzed about her terms with Sushant post break up and if the two are still in touch.
To this Ankita replied, "I've always been open about my last relationship but even when I was in one, I didn't talk about my personal life, and I don't need to talk about it now. If it's my career, I can talk to you for hours, but not about this."
Talking about her Bollywood debut, Ankita Lokhande will be seen playing the role of Jhalkari Bai. "People only know Jhalkari Bai as a warrior and a replica of Rani Lakshmibai, and that made the role doubly challenging. When I discussed my scenes with Danny sir (Danny Denzongpa), he advised me to do it my way and today I believe she must have been someone like me," Ankita was quoted as saying.
She even lauded the Queen actress and said that she means a lot to her.
"She’s sweet with me like she is with everyone else on the sets. We’ve practiced together and she has helped me many times and also appreciated my scenes and dancing skills. When you are new and someone like Kangana supports you, it really means a lot,” Ankita added.
