Love is in the air these days for tinselvile couples. After the hush-hush wedding of Bollywood actress Riya Sen, the recent one to join the band wagon is Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal.
The much in love couple has got engaged recently in the most romantic way during their recent vacation in Spain.
Ashmit and Maheck even shared the picture of their perfect moment on photo sharing app Instagram.
The 'Murder' actor wrote, “She said YES!!! @maheckchahal #downonmyknee #engagement #ring #butwhichfinger #partnerforlife #bae #yesididit #aboutlastweek.”
On the other hand, Maheck wrote a rather romantic caption for the dreamy moment, “He stole my heart, so I’m going to steal his last name. I said YES! @ashmitpatel â¤â¤â¤#engaged #love #isaidyes #marbella #happiness #ring #romance #suprise #ashma.”
Interestingly, this wasn't a random proposal for Maheck and Ashmit was all prepared to pop up the question to his lady love.
During his recent interview to Bombay Times, Ashmit said "I never told Mahek that I was carrying a ring with me. We were supposed to meet her family in Norway and I wanted to propose to her in Paris, the city of love, but it did not happen that way. We were at a cozy restaurant in Marbella (Spain), which had a fantastic view, and I decided to propose."

Indeed, it was a dream come true moment for Maheck, who just can't stop gushing about it.
“It was a surprise for me and I was left speechless at the moment. We were holidaying and he was carrying the ring all this while secretly. He arranged for a romantic surprise and blew me away completely. It was a beautiful moment, and even though it’s yet to completely sink in, we both are enjoying the phase. From friends to girlfriend-boyfriend and now fiance, our relationship has grown and I am so proud of that,” Maheck was quoted saying to Indian Express.
The excited couple also spoke about their wedding plans and said that they are yet to zero in on a date
“We’ve met the families and everyone is super excited. We are yet to sit down and discuss on the dates but it will happen sometime in the next six months. We have been together for a long time but now we will be one, staying under the same roof. It is a bit scary but we both are excited about our bond to become much stronger. We both believe that marriages are for keeps and we will definitely make ours a wonderful one,” Ashmit and Maheck added.
Interestingly, Ashmit and Maheck have known each other for over a decade now and have been in a relationship for several years now. The two even participated together in Power Couple.
