What! 'Baahubali 2' star Prabhas earned MUCH LESS than what Salman Khan did for 'Sultan'

New Delhi:

It's been a week since SS Rajamouli's last directorial 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' had hit the theatres and the movie has created a stir at the box office with its sensational collections. As per the trade analysts, the movie is all set to enter the prestigious Rs 1000 crore club, shattering all the box office records created by all the titans of Bollywood including Salman Khan.

In fact, with the phenomenal success of 'Baahubali 2', Prabahs had become a household name. The actor has become a superstar with every director vouching to have him in their movies. However, not many people are aware of the fact, that despite 'Baahubali' being a bigger brand than any of the Bollywood movie, Prabhas was paid much less for 'Baahubali 2' than what Salman Khan got for 'Sultan'.

Yes! It's true.

Salman Khan, who is known for charging a whopping amount for his movies, got monstrous amount of over Rs 100 crore for 'Sultan'. According to the media reports, Khan had signed a deal with YRF where in they agreed to equally share the profits of 'Sultan', which made a life collection of Rs 300.45 cr.

On the other hand, Prabhas, who played a double role of Amarendra Baahubali and his son Mahendra, earned just Rs 25 crores for his phenomenal performance in the blockbuster movie. Interestingly, this was the highest amount paid to any of the celebs from the starcast of 'Baahubali 2'.

Rana Daggubati, who played the role of lead antagonaist Bhallaldeva in the movie, earned Rs 15 cr, while Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhai got a remuneration of Rs 5 cr each, where as Ramaya Krishnan aka Shivgami and Sathayaraj aka Kattappa had to settle at around Rs 2 cr.

Indeed, this pay disparity has come has a major shock for everyone given that 'Baahubali' became a major brand post the release of its first instalment in 2015. We wonder if the record smashing success of 'Baahubali 2' will make the pay scales of its star cast shoot up.
