Don 3: Deepika Padukone to replace Priyanka Chopra in SRK-starrer? Here's the truth

New Delhi:

Don 3 producer Ritesh Sidhwani has rubbished the reports of Deepika Padukone of replacing Priyank Chopra in his upcoming production. There have been reports that the Padmavati actress will be playing the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the third installment of Don franchise instead of Priyank Chopra.

PeeCee has been the female lead in the first two installments of Don franchise. However, clearing the air, Sidhwani stated, "Deepika is not part of Don."

Interestingly, it's been a while when Deccan Chronicle had reported, "There was a sincere effort from the concerned parties to solve the problem. However, it didn't work out. Hence, it's not decided whether the makers will look at another actress like Deepika Padukone to play the female lead. Shah Rukh is the lead and hence indispensable so the actress had to be replaced."
