After a traditional Sindhi wedding with businessman Bharat Takhtani amidst much grandeur and fanfare, Bollywood actress Esha Deol is set to make her comeback on the screen.
Yes! If latest media reports turn out to be true, Esha will be next seen in a Hindi short film titled Cakewalk. Hema Malini's biographer Ram Kamal Mukherjee, who has penned the story, is looking forward to directing the same.
"The idea of making a film came into Ram Kamal’s mind while he was interviewing me for his book on my mother," an excited Esha was quoted while interacting with a daily.
"I think the idea came to Ram Kamal’s mind after he interacted with a couple of working women from various walks of life. He has beautifully woven those incidents in his narrative,” said Esha. Why did they decide to make a short film and not a full-length feature film? “I think this is the right time to make short films. And honestly, my priority is my daughter Radhya now. I have requested my husband to take a break for some days and just be with Radhya while I wrap up the shoot in one schedule. And I am lucky to have someone like Bharat," Esha added further.

According to Ram Kamal, Esha is the one who inspired him to direct the film and the diva will be seen in a 'never-seen-before' avatar in the flick.
In Cakewalk, Esha will be essaying the character of a chef, which will narrate the professional and personal journey of a woman in our society.
Apart from Ram Kamal, the film will be co-directed by Abhra Chakraborty. Chakraborty is known for assisting filmmaker Bappaditya Bandhopadhya, who bagged National Award for his outstanding visual spectacle in ‘Elar Chaar Adhyay’.
Talking about these latest developments Abhra said, "I have heard about dada (Ram Kamal) from Bappada. After Bappada’s sudden demise, when I suddenly got a call from him to collaborate on a Hindi film, I immediately agreed."
Produced by Dinesh Gupta, Shailendra Kumar and Aritra Das under the banner of Assorted Motion Pictures and S S One Entertainments, Cakewalk also marks the debut film of model-turned-actor Tarun Malhotra.
The movie, which is blessed with musical magic of Shailendra Sayanti, will hit the floor by the end of March 2018.

On the personal front, Esha who tied the knot with Bharat back in 2012, has been blessed with a beautiful baby girl on October 20, 2017. The adorable couple got hitched for the second time during Esha's baby shower ceremony in 2017.
