New Delhi:

B-town actress Kajol and filmmaker Karan Johar had ended their 25-year-long friendship a year ago. But it seems that the acrimony between the two stars is vanishing fast as Kajol has taken the first step forward and reached out to Karan on social media.

According to reports, Kajol has recently liked one of the adorable pictures of KJo's new born twins on Instagram. In reply, Karan followed her back.

Yash, the baby boy of KJo has reminded Kajol of Karan's late father Yash Johar after whom the little champ was named.

But, there is still no confirmation of patch up between the two. However, the step will definitely be significant in rescuing lost friendship between the stars.

Last year, ahead of the release of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Shivaay', the two stars got engaged in a spat as both the movies clashed at the box office.

While Ajay had used unacceptable words for KJo during the time, Karan had thrown Kajol out of his life and put the entire matter in his autobiography 'An Unsuitable Boy'.

"She can never come back to my life. I wouldn't like to give her a piece of myself to her at all because she's killed every bit of emotion I had for her for 25 years. I don't think she deserves me. I feel nothing for her anymore," Karan wrote in his autobiography.

Previously, during the start of their career, the duo had given a series of blockbuster hits like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'My Name Is Khan' and many others.

At present, KJo is busy in shooting of his upcoming films like 'Student of the Year 2', 'Dostana 2', 'Drive' and others. The 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum' actress is at present working for Soundarya Rajinikanth's directorial 'VIP 2'.

With Dhanush in the lead, 'VIP 2' is a sequel to the 2014 comedy-drama 'VIP' and is scheduled to release on 27th July 2017.
