B-town actress Kajol who has recently been trolled and criticised after posting video of a beef dish prepared by her friend, on Monday gave a clarification on the matter.

The 'Dilwale' actress on Monday took to micro-blogging site to explain the actual incident and wrote "A video of me at a friend's lunch said that there was abeef dish at the table. That's a miscommunication. What was shown was buffalo meat, that is legally available meat."

"I'm issuing this clarification because this is a sensitive matter that may hurt religious sentiments, which is not my intention", she further added.

However, selling and having beef is legally banned in many parts of India and the controversy has already caused a lot many crimes all over the nation.

The issue had even been represented and used from a political perspective many times.

On the work front, the 49 year-old actress is now busy shooting her forthcomig release 'Velaiilla Pattadhari 2'.

Also starring Dhanush and Amala Paul the movie is scheduled to hit the box office  on June 2017.
