Kangana Ranaut, who is currently shooting for her upcoming biopic on Rani Laxmi Bai - 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', was rushed to the hospital after she got severely injured on the sets. According to the media reports, the actress was shooting for one of the sword fighting sequences along with co-star Nihar Pandya. Reportedly, in the scene, Kangana was supposed to duck when Nihar tried to attack her with sword, however, the diva ended up getting injured which resulted in 15 stitches between her brows.
Soon the actress was admitted in ICCU in Apollo Hospital where she will be kept under observation for a few days. Talking about the same Kangana told Mid Day, "I am a bit embarrassed to be thrilled to have a battle scar on my face. Also, people from my team have been telling me that it's like that Peshwa teeka that Manikarnika wore. It's a bit dramatic but I am excited that my face was covered in blood and I got a genuine and authentic glimpse of the Queen's life."
“Kangana was immediately rushed to Apollo hospital nearby, where she was admitted into the ICCU. She got 15 stitches on her forehead and will be under observation in the hospital for a few days. The examining doctor said that it was a close shave for her because the cut was too close to her bone,” a source was quoted as saying.
Notably, Kangana will be seen doing several action sequence in the movie and even underwent sword fighting training for her role. She has even reportedly ruled out to take help of a double for fight scenes. In fact, after being injured, the actress has even decided to flaunt her scar in the movie.
“Rani of Jhansi was a warrior. So Kangana has decided that she will wear her scar with pride just like the Queen of Jhansi did,” the source was qouted as saying.
Helmed by Krish, 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' is slated to release in April next year.
