Kangana Ranaut has broken her silence on the failure of her last release 'Rangoon' and stated that the movie's bad performance was targeted at her and she really felt bad about it. Helmed by Vishal Bahrdwaj, 'Rangoon' was one of the most anticipated movie which was based in the backdrop of war. However, despite much of the promotion, the movie flunked at the box office.
Talking about 'Rangoon' failure, Kangana admitted that it was quite disheartening for her and it did take a toll in her confidence. She also asserted that 'Rangoon' failure had a hard hitting impact on her as the movie was relying on her shoulders. "I felt Rangoon's failure was targeted at me. Various people used that time of my life, to direct their anger at me. I felt it was unnecessary that when I was dealing with a vulnerable phase in my career, they were hitting out at me. Rangoon was mounted on a humongous budget and publicised around my character. When something like that doesn't work, you do feel like sh**," Kangana told a leading daily.
On the work fornt, Kangana Ranaut is currently busy with Hansal Mehta's 'Simran' along with Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi's 'Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi' where she will be seen playing the titular role.
