New Delhi:

'Queen' actress Kangana Ranaut who gave a visit to Varanasi to lauch the poster of her forthcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi', has expressed her wish to direct a film next.

Being asked about the genre of the film the actress said it will be a 'Comedy'.

Sharing her future plans to direct a comedy Kangana said, "I want to move on to the next phase which means that I will focus on my career as a filmmaker and if I act I will act in my film so ..After ‘Manikarnika’ I’m directing my film."

This not the end here. The Bollywood diva has something else in her future plan.

Kangana is also all set to make her writing debut with Hansal Mehta's film 'Simran'.

Talking about Simran the diva said, "Simran' is such a cosy and intimate story of a character ...it's a lot about her psyche just like 'Queen'...it's a lot about the linear graph of an individual...you can involve yourself in that. But for something like this ('Manikarnika') you need to have screenwriter of 'Baahubali' for that so V. Vijayendra Prasad sir and Prasoon sir are the right people for this film".

"As much as I would love to be in a league like this but I think I need a couple of 10-20 years". she further stated.

"I agree that I am rebellious but she (Rani Laxmi Bai) was a rebel with a cause that makes her a hero...I rebel because if my instincts want me too. So that makes me a badass. She’s a hero", Kangana added.

While asked if entering into the director's shoe will be a sign off from her acting career she replied, "There are projects and then there are films that are sort of fulfil something within you. When I was 15 and left home, I didn’t know when I will feel that I have arrived or achieved something and that feeling didn’t came post when I started working on Jhansi Ki Rani...just felt like everything made sense you know."

Apart from 'Simran' and 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' kangana is also busy shooting her another upcoming film 'Divine Lovers'.

Also starring Irrfan Khan and helmed by Sai Kabir, the Romantic-drama is going to hit the screens in between 2017 to 2018.
