Kedarnath: Amrita Singh lashes out at Abhishek Kapoor; Is Sara Ali Khan's Bollywood debut in trouble?

New Delhi:

Star kid Sara Ali Khan's Bollywood debut Kedarnath has been making headlines since the day it was announced. However, lately the movie has been grabbing the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

According to the media reports, Sara's mother Amrita Singh recently got into an ugly fight with Abhishek Kapoor, who happens to be the director of Kedarnath.

Reports suggest that Singh is quite concerned about Sara's big debut. However, with Kapoor's last minute decision to terminate the agreement with Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment left the veteran actress miffed.

"When Gattu called Dingy (Amrita) to tell her about his decision to fly solo with Kedarnath and only getting a big studio on board for the release, Amrita completely lost her cool with him. A heated argument took place between the two," a source reportedly told DNA.

The report further stated that Abhishek and Prerna's clash has left the movie in a hanging state as both have decided to deal the matter legally.

Certainly, with Kedarnath heading to the court, the movie is likely to get stalled, hence making mommy Amrita quite worried about her daughter's career.

As per the reports, the fallout between Kapoor and the producers began when the director announced Kedarnath's clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero.

Abhishek was even slammed by the producers for this.

"Despite investing a huge sum of funding into the project, Kedarnath was going way overbudget owing to Gattu's (Abhishek Kapoor's) constant unreasonable demands. He not only delayed the shoot of the film by six months but also majorly interfered in the film's financial planning and overall business workings," a source from KriArj was quoted saying to Times Now.

Notably, Kedarnath, which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead, was earlier scheduled to release on December 21.

But the fight over the movie turning ugly, we wonder if Kedarnath will hit the screens this year.
