Arjun Kapoor's recent release 'Mubarakan' with uncle Anil Kapoor has opened up on a good note at the box office and is expected to make a collection of over Rs 7 crore on its day of release. 'Mubarakan', which is a romantic comedy, brings together the real-life uncle-nephew pair of Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor for the first time on the big screen.
The movie was released on 2350 screens in India and opened to mixed reviews from audience on its day of release. It reportedly witnessed 20-25% occupancy during morning shows and is said to have leave a good impression on the viewers.
'Mubarakan' has created a lot of buzz in the tinselvile with its eye-catchy promos and foot tapping numbers. Besides, the stellar cast including Ileana D'Cruz, Athiya Shetty and Ratna Pathak Shah, added to the curiosity for 'Mubarakan'. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor's double role appearance and his commendable chemistry with uncle Anil won the movie brownie points.
Taran Adarsh, film critic and trade analyst shared the first day collection of Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor starrer 'Mubarankan', and called it 'a slow start' earning just Rs. 5.25 crores on the first day of release.

While the official figures are yet to be announced, if the trends are to be considered, it is indeed a decent start for 'Mubarakan'.
Reportedly, the word-of-mouth is expected to wonders for the movie in the weekend and might escalate the box office collection of this Anees Bazmee directorial.
