While the Ileana D'Cruz starrer is expected to escalate the box office collection further, Madhur Bhandarkar's latest controversial release 'Indu Sarkar' has falied to bring the audiences to theatres.
'Indu Sarkar' which is based on the Emergency period between 1975 till 1977 that, imposed by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi has been witnessing a dull collection since the day of its release.
After making a series of blockbusters like 'Page 3' and 'Fashion', it seems like this time Bhandarkar has failed to surprise his audience.
The Rs 11 crore budget movie which was expected to make a collection of Rs 2 crore on the first day of its release has already begun to struggle in the box office.
Although, a lot was said about the story and release of 'Indu Sarkar', including the tiff with CBFC, the controveries failed to do wonders in box office.
While the movie semms to be a failure in terms of box office collection, actor like Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Parvin Dabbas, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Supriya Vinod are winning appreaciation for their commendable performances in the flick.
Apparently, while a word-of-mouth might work for 'Indu Sarkar' in the upcoming weekend, it is also facing protests across the country.
Congress workers, on Friday, disrupted shows of Madhur Bhandarkar's "Indu Sarkar", the film based on the Emergency imposed by the Indira Gandhi government in 1975, at several cinema halls in the state.
As the film released on Friday, the party workers stalled its screening at some theatres and multiplexes in Thane, Nanded, Nashik and Jalgaon districts. However, the shows resumed later amid tight police security, police officials said.
"Police have kept a strict vigil outside the theatres and no untoward incident has been reported so far," they said.
On the work front, while Arjun Kapoor is at present busy shooting his upcoming venture 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar', Madhur Bhandarkar will be back with his next venture namely 'Madamji'.
Starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead the Maiden Home Production's flick is all set to hit the floor soon.
