After a series of bounties are being announced on Deepika Padukone's head over her forthcoming period drama Padmavati, police personnel have been deployed outside her parents' home in Bengaluru.
"Two police personnel have been deployed outside Deepika Padukone's parents home in JC Nagar," Inspector Girish Naik of JC Nagar Police Station was quoted while interacting with news agency IANS.
Earlier, police had tightened securities outside Deepika Padukone's residence in Mumbai after Karni Sena, a fringe group in Rajasthan threatened the actress to chop off her nose.
Besides, Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief media coordinator Suraj Pal Amu had also announced Rs 10 crore prize for anyone who beheads Padmavati actress Deepika Padukone and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
"We do not want to take law in our hands but will not forgive anyone who tries to spoil the image of Rajput kings and queens," Amu was quoted further.
However, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his grief over this culture of hate and intolerance and further requested Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to take action against those threatening to harm the film fraternities.

Meanwhile, amidst these ongoing controversies, lead actor Shahid Kapoor has expressed his confidence and said the film "will come out and that too in full force."

"'Udta Punjab' also had a lot of drama before it came out. But I am very optimistic because eventually it released and was loved by everyone. It is one of the most significant films of my career. The people who it was about, the state of Punjab, even their reactions were so beautiful when they saw the film. And I really feel it would be similar for 'Padmavati'," Shahid Kapoor was quoted while interacting with news agency ANI.
"Sometimes films of this nature are more difficult to get through to the people than usual. Sometimes it gets a little complicated," the 'Haider' star told media at the red carpet of the India International Film Festival (IFFI) 2017 on Monday.
"This is not the time to be angry; this is not the time to lose your cool because there are enough people doing that right now. So I would choose to say that I believe in the process and I am very optimistic. I am sure 'Padmavati' will come out. Once people see the film, they will be proud of it like we are. All of this will be forgotten then," Shahid added.

"Our constitution says that you are innocent until proven guilty. Same should be extended to 'Padmavati', it should not be considered guilty even before it is provided for people to judge it," the 36-year old actor stated further.
Also starring Ranveer Singh in a key role, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial is yet to get a new release date after CBFC has sent the flick back to its makers citing some technical reasons.
