Amidst speculations of his entry in politics, Rajinikanth has come up with his new movie 'Kaala Karikaalan' which is said to be the sequel of his 2016 release gangster drama 'Kabali'. Interestingly, the movie will be 164th project of Thalaiva and will be produced by his son-in-law Dhanush's production house 's Wunderbar Films Pvt. LTD.a
Dhanush even shared the first poster of 'Kaala Karikaalan' on micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, "Wunderbar films presents .. superstar Rajinikanth in and as #thalaivar164". He even wrote that the first look of the movie will be unveiled in the morning on Thursday.

The movie will be helmed by ' Kabali' director Pa. Ranjith and Rajinikanth's favourite musician Santhosh Narayanan is composing the tunes for the film which is being made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
The film had earlier courted controversy with the adopted son of Mumbai don late Haji Mastan alleging the plot was based on his father's life. The makers had however denied it.
According to the media reports, 'Kaala Karikaalan' is expected to hit the floors in May 28.
