New Delhi:

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, with an estimated 2.45 million followers on the micro blogging site Twitter, almost always manages to draw attention to his posts which are almost always laced with his sharp wit and cutting sense of humour.

His penchant for taking on people from the other side of the border, i.e. Pakistan is well-known and this time too he has lived up to the reputation as he extended wishes to Pakistani people on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, August 14.

Rishi tweeted on Sunday night, "Wishing all my friends from Pakistan a Happy 'Youm-e-Azaadi' ka din. Happy Independence Day. Let peace, brotherhood and love prevail."

The responses to his wishes are as myriad and colourful as the numerous characters he has portrayed in movies.

Rishi Kapoor is well-known for his often provocative tweets, often targeting Pakistan.

Rishi is currently shooting for 102 Not Out along with Amitabh Bachchan, his co-star of super-hit Amar Akbar Anthony.
