Salman Khan has been one of the most eligible bachelors in the tinselvile and his wedding discussion has always left the gossip mills abuzz. Interestingly, the superstar's name has been linked with several divas time and again with the recent one being Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur. But despite all the links ups, Salman's relationship with Aishwarya Rai has been one of the most talked about love affair amongst the cine buffs.
The couple had dated each other for a couple of years before calling it quits on an ugly note over a decade ago.
Indeed, it was quite heart-breaking for their fans. Well, during one of his earlier interviews, Salman revealed that it was Aishwarya's traditional approach towards life that made the beauty queen won a soft corner in the 'Sultan' actor's heart.
“I love [Aishwarya]. I am not hounding her. It's not a teenage obsession that I feel for her — it's pure love. She's such a traditional Hindustani girl at the bottom of her heart. The fact that she respects her parents so much makes me admire her more,” Salman was quoted saying.
Though, it's been over 15 years since the parted ways and have moved on in their lives but their past is still attached to them. In fact, the gossip mongers also suggest that Salman still holds a soft corner for the 'Jazbaa' actress.
Aishwarya is now happily married with Abhishek Bachchan for 10 years and has five year old daughter Aaradhya. On the other hand, Salman Khan is yet to ditch his bachelorhood.
On the work front, Salman Khan will be hitting the silver screen with Kabir Khan directorial 'Tubelight' this Eid. Based on the backdrop of 1962 Indo-China war, also stars Sohail Khan and Chinese actres Zhu Zhu in key roles.
