Manisha Koirala, who will be seen in Sanjay Dutt's upcoming biopic, said she has no qualms about playing Ranbir Kapoor's mother in the movie. The actress will be seen essaying the role of late actress Nargis Dutt in the movie which stars Ranbir portraying Sanjay Dutt.
Manisha expressed her happiness about being a part of the movie and stated that she wasn't really bothered about playing a mother's role. In fact, she was more focusses about the story and essaying Nargis on the big screen. "I am choosy about the films I want to do. I am happy they (makers) chose me for the film. I just looked at the role and the story. I was not really thinking about it being a mother's role," Manisha was quoted as saying.
Talking about her preparation for the movie, Manisha said she is going through a lot of research work which has been done by Rajkumar Hirani. "I am seeing some documentaries and Raju ji (Rajkumar Hirani) has done a lot of research," she says.
The 'Dil Se' actress also spoke about Ranbir's look in the movie and said that the 'Barfi' actor look has uncanny resemblance with Sanjay Dutt. "I like Ranbir as an actor and he is looking like him (Sanjay)," Koirala added.
While Sanjay Dutt's biopic has completed half of its schedule, Manisha is yet to begin shooting for the movie. "I haven't started shooting yet so I don't know how it will be. But in terms of preparation for a biopic, there is a lot to do as we have to be as real as possible," Manisha said.
Apart from Ranbir and Manisha, Dutt's biopic will also feature Paresh Rawal, Anushak Sharma and Vicky Kaushal. The movie is expected to release in December this year.
