Ever since Karan Johar announced that he is making Student Of The Year 2, the excitement among the fans increased to a different level. The first installment of the romantic drama became the perfect launch pad for Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra.Â
Student Of The Year which was released way back in 2012 ended up doing quite well at the box office. It is already out that the 'Heropanti' actor Tiger Shroff will play the main lead role in the Punit Malhotra directorial.Â
Grapevines were recently buzzing with the news that Ishaan Khattar would play the second lead role in the much-awaited film. Ishaan who already has Karan Johar's 'Dhadak' in his kitty was said to be part of the Tiger Shroff starrer as per media reports.Â
Putting all the rumours to rest, Karan Johar has tweeted that Shahid Kapoor's younger brother is not playing any role in SOTY 2. Â

The first look of 'Student Of The Year 2' and 'Dhadak' have managed to hit the right chord. 'Dhadak' is the Hindi remake of the hit Marathi film 'Sairat'.
Ishaan woule be paired opposite Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor in the romantic drama. Karan Johar is yet to announce who will play the lead role opposite Tiger Shroff in 'SOTY 2'.

'Dhadak' will hit the silver screens on July 6, 2018 while a release date for 'SOTY 2'is yet to be revealed by the makers.
