'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' which is a satirical comedy film in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' has amassed a stupendous amount of Rs 13.10 cr on the first day of its release.
If the media reports are to be believed, 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is expected to witness good growth in the upcoming long weekend with Independence Day and Janmashtami being around the corner.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' emphasises on the eradication of open defecation in public places, especially in the rural areas of India.
Also starring Bhumi Pednekar, Sana Khan and Anupam Kher in key roles, the comedy drama has hit the screens on August 11, 2017.
On the work front, while Akshay is busy shooting his other upcoming ventures like 'Padman', '2.0' 'Gold' and others, 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' fame Bhumi Pednekar will be next seen in Rs Prasanna's 'Shubh Mangal Savdhan'.
