The legendary singer-songwriter Eric Clapton, who has won an amazing 18 Grammy Awards and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, is a dejected soul these days as he admitted to having lost track of the rock music business as it continues to face challenges in the digital era, reported Billboard.

But by his own accord, he does not seem to be too bothered by the gradual death of the electric guitar as estimated by declining album sales.
Clapton, who has ranked second in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the ‘100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’ and fourth in Gibson's ‘Top 50 Guitarists of All Time’ quipped, “I'm out of touch. I don't know what's going on. I don't know where it's going to go. I think anything that has a natural process will end up where it's supposed to be. I don't know. Maybe the guitar is over. Good question though," at a press conference.

The Slowhand, as he is fondly called, was present at the screening of his documentary ‘Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars’ at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival.

On how he saw the future of R&B genre as teenagers are shifting to EDM, brass, woodwinds, and strings today, Clapton said all music is "good".

"My kids listen to classic rock, but that may only be because of me, because that's what I've played to them. I mean, from the time of their conception, they've been listening to music through the womb.

"I played them playlists, just brainwashed my kids, and at the back of it was always the guitar or some kind of solo instrument or a singer. My belief in music is it's all good.

It's all good. Even stuff that doesn't appear to be so, it's all good," he said.
