Horror flick It based on Stephen King's 1986 novel

Adapted from Stephen King's iconic 1980s novel of the same name the movie is estimated to collect approximately $40 million over the opening weekend set aside the $13.5 million on an opening day as reported by Hollywood Reporter. 

The horror flick has infused new life in the New Line and Warner Bros collaboration and has brought attendance back after a down of 25 straight years. The rated 'R' movie is projected to open to $65-$70 million setting a record in itself. Stephen King took to twitter and expressed gratitude to the audience. 

Directed by Andy Muschietti whose only debut is, 'Mama', the movie tells the story of a group of children who tries to fight, "Pennywise", the dancing clown palyed by Bill Skarsgard in the town of Derra.

This horror flick has also garnered sufficient attention for the Indian film critic industry.
