Popular daily soap 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' got back in the headlines after Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta from the show got engaged officially. The couple, who has been dating each other for a while now, exchanged rings in a private ceremony which was attended by family members only. Gautam and Smriti were seen dressed in a traditional wear. While Smriti wore a simple orange suit, Gautam was seen wearing a traditional white kurta-Pyjama.
Interstingly, it's been just over a month when Gautam had proposed his lady love in Goa. The couple had met on the sets of 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' and fell in love there.
“We are here in Goa to celebrate Gautam’s birthday (which was yesterday, 13 April), and he just swept me off my feet with this lovely surprise. We started dating after Meri Aashiqui got over and I think its magical how we connected and found love. Our families are really excited and it is an amazing feeling,†Smriti was quoted as saying.
Smriti played the role of Ritika in 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' while Gautam enacted the character of Sharman.
